Major Cause of Death
Cardiovascular diseases was a major cause of death in Philippines with 206194 registered deaths (in year 2016) i.e. 33% of total deaths. Overall Cardiovascular diseases, Cancers and Lower respiratory infections were the highest types of death causes in Philippines.
- We see the maximum number of deaths is seen in age group 70+ with 227939 deaths (year 2016).
- 40.76% kids below age 5 years die because of Neonatal disorders.
- Lower respiratory infections, Cancers and Drowning are the major cause of death in kids aged 5 - 14 years.

Major Risk Factors of Death
- Three Major factors of death in Philippines are High blood pressure, Smoking and High blood sugar. Every year around 4478 people die due to High blood pressure.
- Low birth weight and Child wasting are the major risk factor of kids death aging under 5 years.
- Household air pollution and Unsafe water source are the major risk factors of death of people aging between 5 to 14 years.
- Smoking, High blood pressure and High body-mass index (obesity) are the death risk factors of people aging between 15 to 49 years.

Cancer Analysis
0.37% of Philippines population was suffering from cancer i.e. 247607 people (average of years 2011-2016). Highest number of cancer patients deaths were recorded due to Breast cancer (Count : 8235) and Colon & rectum cancer was also concerning with 7433 deaths in a year. In last few years it has been observed that, people suffering from Esophageal cancer have 4% of survival chance.Philippines was really successful in diagnosing Tracheal, bronchus, and lung cancer where 97% of people were cured.Highest number of cancer patients i.e. 115653 people were of age group 50-69 year olds.In 2016, 83327 were suffering from Breast cancer out of which 8235 people were dead.
