Major Cause of Death
Cardiovascular diseases was a major cause of death in Norway with 13378 registered deaths (in year 2016) i.e. 33% of total deaths. Overall Cardiovascular diseases, Cancers and Dementia were the highest types of death causes in Norway.
- We see the maximum number of deaths is seen in age group 70+ with 32352 deaths (year 2016).
- 46.58% kids below age 5 years die because of Neonatal disorders.
- Cancers, Road accidents and Diabetes, blood, and endocrine diseases are the major cause of death in kids aged 5 - 14 years.
- Cancers, Suicide and Drug disorder are the major cause of death in people aged 14 - 49 years.
- Cancers, Cardiovascular diseases and Respiratory disease are the major cause of death in people aged over 50 years.
- Overall, it's observed that 52% of people aging over 50 years die because of Cancers.


Major Risk Factors of Death
- Three Major factors of death in Norway are High blood pressure, Smoking and High cholesterol. Every year around 19 people die due to High blood pressure.
- Low birth weight and Child wasting are the major risk factor of kids death aging under 5 years.
- Alcohol use and High blood sugar are the major risk factors of death of people aging between 5 to 14 years.
- Drug use, Alcohol use and Smoking are the death risk factors of people aging between 15 to 49 years.
- Smoking, High blood pressure and High body-mass index (obesity) are the major death risk factors of people aging between 50 to 69 years.
- High blood pressure is the major death risk factors for people aging more than 70 years.

Cancer Analysis
1.56% of Norway population was suffering from cancer i.e. 107245 people (average of years 2011-2016). Highest number of cancer patients deaths were recorded due to Colon & rectum cancer (Count : 1721) and Prostate cancer was also concerning with 1158 deaths in a year. In last few years it has been observed that, people suffering from Pancreatic cancer have 0% of survival chance.Norway was really successful in diagnosing Testicular cancer where 99% of people were cured.Highest number of cancer patients i.e. 47901 people were of age group 70+ year olds.In 2016, 17321 were suffering from Colon & rectum cancer out of which 1721 people were dead.
