Cancers was a major cause of death in Netherlands with 49193 registered deaths (in year 2016) i.e. 34% of total deaths. Overall Cancers, Cardiovascular diseases and Dementia were the highest types of death causes in Netherlands.

1.7% of Netherlands population was suffering from cancer i.e. 417784 people (average of years 2011-2016). Highest number of cancer patients deaths were recorded due to Colon & rectum cancer (Count : 6293) and Breast cancer was also concerning with 3671 deaths in a year.
