Major Cause of Death
Cardiovascular diseases was a major cause of death in Finland with 21103 registered deaths (in year 2016) i.e. 42% of total deaths. Overall Cardiovascular diseases, Cancers and Dementia were the highest types of death causes in Finland.
- We see the maximum number of deaths is seen in age group 70+ with 38973 deaths (year 2016).
- 38.6% kids below age 5 years die because of Neonatal disorders.

Major Risk Factors of Death
- Three Major factors of death in Finland are High blood pressure, High cholesterol and High body-mass index (obesity). Every year around 3 people die due to High blood pressure.
- Low birth weight and Child wasting are the major risk factor of kids death aging under 5 years.
- Alcohol use and Iron deficiency are the major risk factors of death of people aging between 5 to 14 years.

Cancer Analysis
1.21% of Finland population was suffering from cancer i.e. 104860 people (average of years 2011-2016). Highest number of cancer patients deaths were recorded due to Colon & rectum cancer (Count : 1265) and Pancreatic cancer was also concerning with 1128 deaths in a year. In last few years it has been observed that, people suffering from Pancreatic cancer have 12% of survival chance.Finland was really successful in diagnosing Testicular cancer where 99% of people were cured.Highest number of cancer patients i.e. 49071 people were of age group 70+ year olds.In 2016, 11946 were suffering from Colon & rectum cancer out of which 1265 people were dead.
