Tuberculosis was major cause of death in Central African Republic with 12989 registered deaths (in year 2016) i.e. 18% of total deaths. Overall Tuberculosis, Cardiovascular diseases and HIV/AIDS were highest types of death causes in Central African Republic.

  • Three Major factors of death in Central African Republic are Unsafe sex, Alcohol use and Household air pollution. Every year around 5082 people die due to Unsafe sex.

  • Unsafe water source and Poor sanitation are the major risk factors of death of people aging between 5 to 14 years.

Cancer Analysis



0.28% of Central African Republic population was suffering from cancer i.e. 7511 people (average of years 2011-2016). Highest number of cancer patients deaths were recorded due to Cervical cancer (Count : 417) and Stomach cancer was also concerning with 312 deaths in a year. In last few years it has been observed that, people suffering from Esophageal cancer have 0% of survival chance.Central African Republic was really successful in diagnosing Kidney cancer where 88% of people were cured.Highest number of cancer patients i.e. 3002 people were of age group 50-69 year olds.In 2016, 2848 were suffering from Cervical cancer out of which 417 people were dead.
