Major Cause of Death
Cardiovascular diseases was a major cause of death in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines with 318 registered deaths (in year 2016) i.e. 36% of total deaths. Overall Cardiovascular diseases, Cancers and Diabetes, blood and endocrine disease were the highest types of death causes in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
- We see the maximum number of deaths is seen in age group 70+ with 451 deaths (year 2016).

- Three Major factors of death in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are High blood sugar, High blood pressure and High body-mass index (obesity). Every year around 2 people die due to High blood sugar.
- Low birth weight and Child wasting are the major risk factor of kids death aging under 5 years.
- High blood sugar and Outdoor air pollution are the major risk factors of death of people aging between 5 to 14 years.
- High body-mass index (obesity), Alcohol use and Unsafe sex are the death risk factors of people aging between 15 to 49 years.

Cancer Analysis
0.78% of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines population was suffering from cancer i.e. 731 people (average of years 2011-2016). Highest number of cancer patients deaths were recorded due to Prostate cancer (Count : 35) and Breast cancer was also concerning with 16 deaths in a year. In last few years it has been observed that, people suffering from Esophageal cancerGallbladder & biliary tract cancer have 0% of survival chance.Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was really successful in diagnosing Testicular cancer where 100% of people were cured.Highest number of cancer patients i.e. 340 people were of age group 50-69 year olds.In 2016, 236 were suffering from Prostate cancer out of which 35 people were dead. This means 14.83% death rate of people suffering from Prostate cancer.
