Major Cause of Death
Cardiovascular diseases was a major cause of death in Russia with 1150431 registered deaths (in year 2016) i.e. 59% of total deaths. Overall Cardiovascular diseases, Cancers and Dementia were the highest types of death causes in Russia.
- We see the maximum number of deaths is seen in age group 70+ with 1059615 deaths (year 2016).
- 39.5% kids below age 5 years die because of Neonatal disorders.
- Road accidents, Cancers and Drowning are the major cause of death in kids aged 5 - 14 years.
- Cardiovascular disease, Suicide and Cancers are the major cause of death in people aged 14 - 49 years.

Major Risk Factors of Death
- Three Major factors of death in Russia are High blood pressure, High cholesterol and High body-mass index (obesity). Every year around 186 people die due to High blood pressure.
- Low birth weight and Child wasting are the major risk factor of kids death aging under 5 years.
- Alcohol use and Secondhand smoke are the major risk factors of death of people aging between 5 to 14 years.
- Alcohol use, Smoking and Drug use are the death risk factors of people aging between 15 to 49 years.
- High blood pressure, Smoking and High body-mass index (obesity) are the major death risk factors of people aging between 50 to 69 years.
- High blood pressure is the major death risk factors for people aging more than 70 years.

Cancer Analysis
0.85% of Russia population was suffering from cancer i.e. 1613383 people (average of years 2011-2016). Highest number of cancer patients deaths were recorded due to Colon & rectum cancer (Count : 41391) and Stomach cancer was also concerning with 35534 deaths in a year. In last few years it has been observed that, people suffering from Esophageal cancer have 10% of survival chance.Russia was really successful in diagnosing Thyroid cancer where 98% of people were cured.Highest number of cancer patients i.e. 915053 people were of age group 50-69 year olds.In 2016, 250200 were suffering from Colon & rectum cancer out of which 41391 people were dead.
